Rules of Survival (RoS), developed by NetEase Games, was one of the earliest titles to bring the full battle royale experience to mobile devices. Released in late 2017, the game quickly gained popularity by offering large-scale, action-packed matches that were accessible to players around the world—without the need for a high-end gaming PC or console.

In Rules of Survival, up to 120 players are dropped onto a vast island where they must loot weapons, armor, and supplies while fighting to be the last one standing. The game features classic battle royale elements: a shrinking safe zone, fast-paced gunfights, vehicles for quick travel, and a wide variety of weapons and gear.

What set RoS apart in its early days was its optimization for mobile play.
